A fire broke out on the closed Colossus roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California on Monday. Part of it collapsed, but no one was injured.
Los Angeles County firefighters got the call around 1:30 p.m. Monday and doused the fire in about a half-hour, The Associated Press reported.

The top of the lift hill on the 125-foot-tall wooden coaster collapsed after flames charred it.
Workers were disassembling the ride at the time of the fire, Magic Mountain says.
Authorities are trying to determine the cause.
When it opened in 1978, Colossus was the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. It closed on Aug. 17 and will be turned into a longer looping wood and steel coaster called Twisted Colossus, which is planned to open next spring.
