Facebook has come under fire for "censoring" the posts of U.S. conservative educational organization PragerU last week, RT News reported.
The Conservative advocacy group, whose name stands for Prager University, said Friday that Facebook had deleted at least two of its videos after flagging them as "hate speech," and noted that nine of its posts had reached none of its 3 million followers.
"We're being heavily censored on @Facebook," PragerU said in a tweet, encouraging followers to share "to spread awareness about big tech censorship!"
Facebook has since restored the videos after admitting that they were "mistakenly" removed.
"They don't break our standards," the social media giant told PragerU on Twitter.
Earlier this year PragerU was banned from promoting posts on Twitter, and the organization claimed that this was because the social media platform was attempting to censor conservatives.
Social media sites including Facebook and Twitter have been facing mounting criticism from conservatives amid a content crackdown and PagerU, which posts content to spread conservative beliefs and values, is just the latest to deal with bans and suspensions, RT said.
Recently, InfoWars and its host Alex Jones, suffered at the hands of YouTube, Facebook and Apple, which shut down its pages and channels while Twitter suspended Jones for a week for "abusive behavior."
In a series of tweets Saturday, President Donald Trump accused social media of "totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices," and warned that the Trump Administration would not let it happen.
"Censorship is a very dangerous thing & absolutely impossible to police," Trump tweeted.
