The conservative super PAC America Is Worth It is targeting U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer with a two-minute television ad that has been launched in upstate New York, calling him the "chosen candidate" of the media.

The longtime Democratic senator Schumer is facing Republican attorney Wendy Long in the New York Senate race. George Landrith, spokesman for America Is Worth It, said in a statement that his super PAC is making an effort to expose allegations against the media as well as Schumer's record.

"This is not a right-wing rant against media bias," Landrith said in a statement about the television ad that will be running in the Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse markets. "We cite specifics about how media bosses are suppressing their own reporters and corrupting journalism. That's why Schumer is their chosen candidate."

Landrith said in the SuperPac's statement that the longer, two-minute ad was chosen because it will stick with young people and it reflects how Millennials "get their news today, with a flood of headlines and Twitter-length messages."

"At the same time we put a narrative around all this and we find viewers are very grateful for the context. They find it a lot to take in at first, but they also recognize the rush of truth and want to see it again," Landrith added.

The ad ties Schumer to what it calls the Obama administration's political war on police officers, Catholics and scriptural Christians, the U.S. military and dissent. The ad also called on the media to ask Schumer about his relationship to George Soros, Al Sharpton, Black Lives Matter, and the American Civil Liberties Union.

"The liberal media knows that as long as they can prop up an incumbent president's approval ratings, this will help their chosen candidates," Landrith said in the statement. "That's why if Republicans get the truth about the Obama record cover-up they can win victories in the U.S. Senate."
