Outrage Over Bob Costas Using Belcher Death, NFL Stage to Push Gun Control

After sports announcer Bob Costas used his platform on NBC’s Sunday Night Football to rant against the lack of gun control following the murder-suicide of Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, many Twitter users put Costas in their crosshairs.

By Monday, the general tenor of tweets on the topic were less than appreciative that Costas had politicized an otherwise enjoyable football game. A couple notable personalities chimed in, among them Herman Cain and Ted Nugent.
