New York City's Dominique Ansel Bakery, famous for inventing the cronut, had a long line of people waiting in the rain Tuesday morning after the bakery reopened following being temporarily closed because of a mouse infestation.
The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene closed the bakery on Friday because of an infestation that required pest control services.

Health inspectors cleared the bakery to reopen after a follow-up inspection on Monday. Several hundred customers lined up on Tuesday.
The health department inspected the bakery after a
customer shot a video of a mouse there, NY1 reported.
Dominique Ansel himself thanked customers as they waited in line, the New York Post said.
“We work hard every day. We took a hit but today we’re back. We’re back stronger than ever,” he said.
Ansel introduced the special monthly flavor of the signature croissant-donut pastry. The Passion Fruit Caramelia Chocolate cronut. He said it would be called Rocky for the day, after the Sylvester Stallone character.
“The theme is Rocky. It’s about, you take a hit, you go down but you come back up stronger, and we keep moving forward and make what we believe,” Ansel said, according to the Post.
Customers waiting in line seemed undeterred by the mice infestation.
“The mice don’t really cause me concern. If you’re in New York City, it’s hard to avoid a mouse popping up now and then,” customer Jay Randolph told the Post.
Twitter users didn't seem to be on board with the cronut craze of the day.
