"Dancing With the Stars" had its first elimination Monday night, and "Saturday Night Live" alum Chris Kattan did not survive, as he was booted with his professional partner Witney Carson.

Kattan, 46, resurrected his well-known "Night at the Roxbury" skit from "SNL," but it was not enough to keep him and Carson off the dancing chopping block, noted ABC News.

"I wanted to do it," Kattan told "Good Morning America" on Tuesday. "But I still wasn't quite the best dancer you've ever seen. But there's so many great dancers. Witney's unbelievable. And you can't compete with Simone (Biles) who is a gold medalist.

"I'm happy that I'm content and having a good time right now. I had a blast. It was such an amazing experience," Kattan continued.

It wasn't long ago when Carson was on top of "Dancing With the Stars," when the professional dancer won the competition with former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro during Season 19 in 2014, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Entertainer Charo told E! News that she was disappointed that Kattan was eliminated, even though she and her professional partner Keo Motsepe were on the block as well.

"I was very upset that they kicked out (Chris Kattan)," Charo told E! News after the elimination. "It got to my heart. I was about to a deal…I got and he stays, but I don't think the rules allow that. He tried very hard and he's so beautiful."

Carson said even though she was not familiar with Kattan before the competition, it was a joy working with the comedian, wrote ABC News.

"Obviously he's like a comedy legend," Carson said, according to ABC News. "I was a little bit embarrassed that I didn't know who he was but all of those skits I'm very familiar with now. And he really is just so funny. I really felt like that was our whole journey together — he just made me laugh all the time. And we worked really hard."

Kattan told ABC News that he was ready for the competition despite breaking his neck 14 years ago and going through several surgeries.

Kattan found plenty of support for his performance on social media.
