Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is opening up about how she turned to "emotional therapy" following her split with NFL star Aaron Rodgers.

The couple dated for two years before parting ways last month and Patrick has been looking for ways to mend her broken heart. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 38-year-old spoke about how she was finding comfort in esoteric healing.

"I’ve got me, I always have," Patrick captioned a photo of herself looking toward a mountain range. "I started doing @theclass last week because @lilyniels has been loving it and we did a few classes together. Turns out, now I do too! It’s emotional therapy through moving the body, breath, and acknowledging what comes up," she continued.

Patrick explained that during the class participants worked with certain "chakra" points, which are spiritual energy centers within the body, according to people who refer to themselves as energy healers.

"In class you put your hand on your heart and lower stomach (sacral) to reset the body between moves," Patrick wrote. "Today I put my left hand on my stomach.... and the back of my right hand on my back, surrounding the solar plexus chakra, and all I heard was - I got you, I always have. That is the main chakra that lights up on me in life," she continued.

"We all "got" ourselves WAY more than we give ourselves credit for, that was the message for me today anyway. I mean..... we got this far didn’t we friends?!!!" Patrick concluded.

Rumors that the couple had split emerged in July when Patrick unfollowed Rodgers on Instagram. Patrick's rep later confirmed the breakup to Fox News.
