Daniel Craig would rather "slash his wrists" than play James Bond ever again, the British actor said in an interview this week while doing press for the upcoming 007 installment "Spectre."

"Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists," Craig told U.K.'s Time Out when asked if he saw himself playing the secret agent again. "No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on.

Craig, who has now played Bond four times, told the publication that he just needs a break from Bond. Shooting "Spectre" took eight months and dragged the film crew from London to Austria, Italy, Mexico, and Morocco before wrapping.

"I haven't given it any thought," the actor said when pressed on what his next project might be. "For at least a year or two, I just don't want to think about it. I don't know what the next step is. I've no idea. Not because I'm trying to be cagey . . . At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money."

Craig is under pressure to duplicate the success of "Skyfall," the 2012 Bond flick which ended up becoming the highest grossing film of the long-running series, raking in $1.1 trillion globally, according to Box Office Mojo.

While playing James Bond has helped open many other doors in his acting career, Craig admitted that doesn't know where else he can go with the character who has been a part of now more than 20 movies dating back to the 1960s.

"Every idea I've had for a Bond movie, I've stuck into this one," Craig told Time Out. "It's gone in. The Bond bank is dry. If you're asking me what would I do with another Bond movie? I haven't a clue. Go into space? Let's do it! They already did it. Let’s do it again."

Over the years, Bond has been played by Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan.

"Spectre," which premieres Nov. 6, also stars Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes, and Christoph Waltz.
