Darryl Robinson, former host of the Cooking Channel show "Drink Up" and a star celebrity mixologist, was found dead in his New York City apartment early Wednesday morning. He was 50.
Law enforcement officials told the New York Daily News that a friend of Robinson's called police to report they were concerned about the nationally recognized bartender. Officers who responded to his Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday found the TV host dead and face down on the bed.

There was no sign of foul play or obvious trauma and police found
no drugs or drug paraphernalia at the scene, according to the New York Post.
Robinson hosted "Drink Up" back in 2010, but the Cooking Channel still airs reruns of the show, which featured his creative concoctions.
The medical examiner's office is working to determine a cause of death.
Fans of Robinson took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the man they called "Dr. Mixologist."
