Season 10 of "Deadliest Catch" kicks off Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on the Discovery Channel and is expected to feature more danger, creating excitement as crews set out in the perilous Bering Sea in search of crabs.

In a preview clip of the Emmy Award-winning series, a newer crewman gets his hand pinched by a crab's claw. Rather than attempt to break the claw or throw the crustacean back into the ocean, he suffers through the pain and runs it over to a holding container on board because of its value.

"It was a harvestable crab so it was probably worth in the neighborhood of $60," Capt. "Wild" Bill Wichrowski told the "Today" show. "So when it came up, it was real important to save that crab. If you break a leg, they're gonna die, and if they're dead, they're not worth anything."

"It's painful. I've been there!" Wichrowski added. "I've seen guys actually have a crab break their finger, so they don't require that much force with the big pincher claw. ... As the show goes on, you'll see that (Collins) has a lot more trouble than that crab pinching him."

In addition to the day-to-day dangers of crabbing, Season 10 will feature changes among the cast. The late Capt. Phil Harris' son Josh will return as a captain and owner of his father's boat, the Cornelia Marie, which he signed the papers for.

In addition, Captain Sig Hansen's daughter Mandy joins the crew, the Christian Post reported.

"She's with us every summer during the salmon season," Hansen told Yahoo TV. "She's been doing that since she was, what, 14? She's had job offers from other salmon boats. And then she said she was going to try crabbing, of course. And I said, 'Over my dead body — or it's going to be on my boat.' And then, one thing led to another. She's a pretty persuasive kid."
