Pro football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders has been fired for the second time in two months from the Dallas charter school he co-founded a little more than a year ago.
Reasons for the firing from Prime Prep Academy were not released.
The Dallas Morning News said that the decision was made by academy Superintendent Rachel Sanders, who is not related to the former football star and who could not be reached for comment.

Deion Sanders, known affectionately as Prime Time during his NFL days and who also had a lengthy Major League Baseball career, serves as the football coach and public face of the school that is facing accusations of mismanagement and is in the midst of a power struggle.
“I never dreamed this,” Sanders told WFAA. “I just dreamed of having the best academic and athletic institution in the country, and we are going to have it. We are going to have it … we just have to get this mess out.
“This nonsense,” he added. “We are sick of it. The kids don’t deserve it. Overpaid, under-qualified administrators never worked in a school in their life. We have a formula to restore what was the dream at Prime Prep.”
The school faces an imminent audit by state education officials. In an earlier story, the
Dallas Morning News quoted Texas Education Agency spokeswoman DeEtta Culbertson as saying her agency “continues to be diligent in gathering information related to specific complaints regarding finances, special education and allegations of nepotism. It would be premature to comment on any of the specifics until our fact finding in each of these areas is complete.”
The school, on its website, says it “has a 21st century approach to education that introduces children to cutting edge technology, interactive course material, and digital classrooms. We encourage parental involvement, community support, and corporate partnerships; because it takes all facets of society to make our children stronger, more capable leaders. Our goal is to offer the finest and most comprehensive student development programs in the state; while serving as a beacon of hope and transformation in the communities in which we serve.”
Sanders was first fired in October after a co-worker accused him of assault, but was rehired a short time later. The man who made the accusation against Sanders, school co-founder D.L. Wallace, resigned from his post as executive director about two weeks ago, the Morning News said.
