But Richards said there’s a misunderstanding.

TMZ reported that “sources close to Sheen” said Richards told her ex she didn’t want him around for their family Christmas trip with Sam, 9, and Lola, 8, "and didn’t really explain why." But Richards said he’s still invited to come along, the story goes on to say.

That didn’t assuage Sheen, who posted a picture with his Twitter rant showing a busted souvenir baseball bat from their 2002 wedding.

Us Weekly noted the divorced couple had been getting along since their 2006 split. “In October, the pair were spotted enjoying some family time with their kids at the pumpkin patch. And earlier this year, Richards called Sheen 'the greatest ex ever' for lending her his jet. The actor even voiced his support for Richards over the care of Max and Bob, his twin boys with Brooke Mueller, when the latter had to check into rehab.”

Richards, however, later gave up guardianship of the 4-year-olds, reportedly telling welfare officials they were too violent for her.

Sheen has played in the films “Platoon,” “Wall Street” and “Major League” and starred on the hit television comedy “Two and a Half Men,” but has been plagued by reports of alcohol and drug abuse, in addition to marital problems.

Richards, an actress and former model, guest starred on “Two and a Half Men” and appeared in the films “Wild Things,” “Scary Movie 3” and “Valentine.”
