Most people would not expect Northwestern University in Chicago, home of the prestigious Medill School of Journalism, to make a typo on its diplomas, but the unexpected has happened.

The "n" was left out of the word "integrated" on about 30 of the 250 diplomas Northwestern University journalism graduates received late last week. The typo was found on the heading Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications.
“The diplomas are issued by the university so we will work with the NU’s registrar’s office Monday to provide new diplomas to these students,”
Desiree Hanford, Northwestern’s director of undergraduate education, told Jim Romenesko, a well-known media blogger.
Given that the journalism school is famous for giving the “Medill F” if a student misspells a word or commits a minor factual error, Twitter reaction to the typo has been predictably humorous.
