Dismaland, the new "bemusement park" created by graffiti artist Banksy, is now open for business in Britain, and people all over the world are delighting in its gloomy video trailer.
"Is there something missing in your life? Do you need to get out more?" the video's narrator asks as the trailer opens to a picture-perfect nuclear family.
"Then stop what you’re doing, and come to the happiest place on Earth. This is a theme park like no other. Dismaland — a place where all your dreams come true. So, what are you waiting for?"
The family gets moving, and makes their way to the derelict park, located seaside outside of Bristol.
The family first encounters airport-level security, stylized to highlight its vaguely dystopian nature. They then enter the main park, which is anchored by a broken down castle and a statue reminiscent of a digitally-distorted "Little Mermaid."
The Dismaland website wrote that the park includes work from a total of 59 artists as well as 22 directors and animators. Their contributions include a Grim Reaper riding a bumper car, a Shamu-like whale emerging from a toilet, and small model boats packed with immigrants.
"This is an art show for the 99 per cent who'd rather be at Alton Towers. It's not a swipe at Disney,"
Banksy has previously explained, the Daily Mail reported.
"I banned any imagery of Mickey Mouse from the site. It's a showcase for the best line up of artists I could imagine, apart from the two who turned me down."
He's said that he hopes the park will infuse Weston-super-Mare's economy with a few million pounds. The park will remain open until Sept. 27, and will feature a few live events along the way.
