Donald Trump is now in wax after his statue has been unveiled by London’s Madame Tussauds museum.
A team of people at Madame Tussauds has been working on the statue for five months, showing the president-elect polished and painted entirely out of wax, according to CNN.
Three of the four statues made for Trump's inauguration have already been sent to the nation’s capital, New York and Orlando, CNN said.
“I was lucky enough to get some measurements from a sitting we had in 1997 at the Trump towers,” Chief Sculptor David Gardner told CNN. “At the sitting we would take the measurement of the head and we would also use anchor points.”
Gardner said Trump’s recent appearances made creating the updated sculptures a little easier.
“He made my job slightly easier because of his character. It was almost as far as doing a caricature and bringing it back,” Gardner said, according to CNN.
Gardner says he called the stylist from “The Apprentice” for advice on how to depict Trump’s hairstyle.
“We did a lot of research about how he styles his hair. It’s hairspray and almost like a lacquer,” Gardner said, according to CNN.
“His hair is a mixture of human hair and yak hair. We use yak hair with people with white hair because human hair is not readily available,” said Kelly Cox, the hairstylist for the statues.
The statue is dressed in a navy suit with a red tie and an American flag lapel pin, The Associated Press noted.
If visiting the museum, the figure of the 45th president can be seen in a mock-up of the Oval Office.
The statue was completed on Wednesday and is set to make its debut to the public on Inauguration Day.
“Mr. Trump was the most-searched person globally on Google in 2016 so the pressure was on to perfect his iconic features in time for inauguration,” Therese Alvich, general manager of Madame Tussauds Washington, D.C., said in a news release. “Creating the new U.S. President is a tradition that we look forward to every election cycle and we are proud to welcome such a lifelike figure to our attraction.”
