The Duggar family has a lot of mouths to feed what with 19 kids, two parents, and a handful of grandchildren, so the TLC reality stars often have to get creative when it comes to food and finances.

Growing some of their own food in a garden is just one way the Duggars make ends meet, and America's favorite Arkansas family shared photos of their plants online over the weekend.

The Duggar family's lives have been chronicled on the TLC reality show "19 Kids & Counting" since 2008, when it premiered as "17 Kids & Counting." Since then, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, of Tontitown, Arkansas, have expanded their brood to 19 children, ranging in age from 26 to 4. What's more, all the kids' names start with the letter "J."

Josh Duggar, the eldest sibling, married wife Anna in 2008 and they have three children together — Mackynzie, Michael, and Marcus.

Jim Bob Duggar once explained his philosophy on finances in a Q&A on the family's website.

"We have lived very frugally, and our family motto is to 'Buy used and saved the difference!'" he wrote. "We shop at thrift stores and garage sales."

Michelle Duggar also shared her supermarket strategies recently with a blog post on TLC.com.

"For groceries, we mainly shop at discount grocery stores, warehouse clubs and co-ops," the Duggar matriarch wrote. "You can save thousands of dollars by doing just that. We buy mostly in bulk and stock up once a month on staples like butter, cereal and oats — it's just cheaper."
