Dustin Diamond, who played Screech on "Saved by the Bell," is in jail again for allegedly violating his probation six week after being released.
The entertainer was released from jail April 11 after serving three months for carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. He earned an early release for working custodial maintenance.
Diamond was serving time for an incident during which a man was allegedly stabbed at a Wisconsin bar on Christmas Day 2014.
On Wednesday, the 39-year-old actor was booked into the Ozaukee County Jail in Wisconsin, where he is on a probation hold,
WITI-TV reported.
No new charges have been filed, and authorities haven't released details of the arrest, the station reported. Under the conditions of his parole, Diamond must get permission to travel.
Earlier this month,
Diamond told Mario Lopez of "Extra" that he never stabbed anyone.
“I had my pocket knife like this... and the blade was right here and the guy came from around me and grabbed my throat, and so he nicked his arm on the tip of it. It was a Band-Aid, the most expensive Band-Aid I’ve ever bought,” Diamond explained.
He said he wanted to start fresh and focus on marriage as well as starting a family with his fiancée, Amanda Schutz.
“I want to put the tomfoolery and malarkey behind me," Diamond told "Extra."
If a probation agent thinks a violation occurred, the subject is held while a violation investigation takes place,
CNN explained. Depending on the outcome of the investigation and the seriousness of the incident, the offender's parole could be revoked.
Twitter users shared mixed reactions to the Diamond's latest arrest.
