Dustin Hoffman's cancer has been successfully treated, a representative for the actor told People magazine without disclosing other details such as the type of cancer or how long the actor has had it.
"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," Hoffman's rep Jodi Gottlieb told People Magazine. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."
The publicist refused to elaborate on the type of treatment he underwent, saying only the
75-year-old actor will continue to undergo preventative treatments to minimize the chance of recurrence in the future, ABC News reported.

In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Hoffman discussed acting and aging as he approaches the twilight of his life.
"I would develop stuff like every other actor," Hoffman told Good Morning America. "The most important part of it is when you’re in your 30s and 40s and 50s, you think you’ve got all the time in the world. Suddenly, you’re 75 — you say, or get off the pot."
Having begun his acting career on the stage in New York City in the early 1960s, Hoffman went on to star in numerous movies, including "Tootsie," "Kramer vs. Kramer," and "Rain Man."
Hoffman's most memorable role however was likely his first in the celebrated 1967 film, "The Graduate," where he played a recent college grad who is seduced by the significantly older wife of his father's business partner.
In 2012, the Academy Award winning actor made his directorial debut with the film "Quartet."

Despite the cancer treatment, Hoffman has continued acting and is presently wrapping up production on the Jon Favreau comedy "Chef," which also stars Robert Downey Jr., John Leguizamo, and Scarlett Johansson.
Hoffman will also star in the upcoming film, "Boys Choir," and is scheduled to begin filming a film adaptation of Roald Dahl's "Esio Trot" this fall. The movie will costar Judi Dench, People reported.
