President Donald Trump opened the door for celebrities and business moguls to make it in politics, and now some may actually be contemplating a future run.
Though Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson already has it all, what with a wildly successful career as a film star and the title of one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all time, there are whispers of a possible foray into politics.
The Rock has even addressed the possibility himself, though he's stopped short of making any actual declaration of intent. His fans, though, think Johnson could be a solid 2020 alternative if Trump decides not to run, or he could take a shot in 2024.
Here are 10 reasons Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could be president someday:
1. He’s healthy — Aside from his pro wrestling experience and his action movie roles, the Rock eats well. He works out each morning and finishes up with weightlifting after his seven meals a day, which include plenty of cod, according to HowStuffWorks.

2. He meets the requirements — Johnson is 45 and he was born in California, so he qualifies for the presidency under the Constitution.
3. He’s a fresh face — With no major scandals to his name, the Rock would bring a breath of fresh air to politics. He attended both the Republican and Democratic conventions in 2000 and is currently a registered independent.
4. The Rock gets a lot of free publicity — As a celebrity, he is seen in movies, TV, and commercials. He has a built-in platform in which to give his opinions without worrying about a political campaign.
5. “Dwayne Johnson for President!” — That was the headline of a recent GQ article. “I think that it’s a real possibility,” he said.

6. He already has plans — Although joking, he told GQ, “We’ll have three days off for a weekend!” He also promised “No taxes!”
7. Presidential candidates wanted his support — Both President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton asked for his endorsement during the 2016 campaign. He turned them down because he didn’t want to divide his fans with his political views.
8. Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore has voiced support for a possible future President Johnson — “Run the Rock! Run the Rock,” Moore told Variety in a May 2017 Q&A interview. “Think about how safe we would be if the Rock was president.”
9. He loves his country — “I love my country, I’m extremely patriotic,” he once told Reuters, adding that effective leadership is very important at this time.
10. He has strong conservative values — "He’s an unabashed patriot, and his Facebook and Instagram feeds are full of expressions of gratitude to his country and his fans," reads a 2017 National Review column. "He constantly reminds fans that he was once broke and struggling. He blesses his family with the fruits of his labor. And in his own turn, he seems to positively delight in bringing joy to others."
