Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been declared People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive," continuing the actor and former pro wrestling champ's very good year.
Johnson, 44, who is scheduled to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday to celebrate his new title, was also crowned in August as world's highest paid actor by Forbes magazine, making $64.5 million over the past year.
He also starred with Kevin Hart in the comedy "Central Intelligence" this summer while continuing to star in and executive produce his HBO hit "Ballers."
Less than a year ago he celebrated the birth of daughter Jasmine, now 11 months, with his girlfriend Lauren Hashian, People noted. He also has a 15-year-old daughter, Simone, with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
"I said, 'That's awesone,'" Johnson said of learning of the magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" title, according to People. "And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is. And then I thought, 'Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.' I'm not quite too sure where we go from here. I've done it all, this is it."
Johnson voices the animated character Maui in the upcoming Disney movie "Moana," which will hit theaters on Nov. 23.
The actor told People that his relationships with Hashian and his daughters keep him grounded.
"I've made big sweeping changes in my career over the years, which have served me nicely, but I feel that the big sweeping changes that happened in my life, in my relationships, of being a dad, of being a partner, and the things that I was and the things that I am, has really lent itself to a confidence,” Johnson told People.
"We just have this awesome family that is truly non-traditional but so rooted in love. And that's such a cool thing. I'm very proud of it," he continued.
Others making the 2016 "Sexiest Man Alive" list include Britain's Prince Harry, actors John Krasinski, Rami Malek, Jay Hernandez and Patrick Dempsey, talk show host Trevor Noah, comedian Keegan-Michael Key, singer Nick Jonas and rapper Drake.
