A stunning photo of funnel cloud at East Midlands Airport — seen behind a Ryanair plane taking off Thursday — is going viral.
The dark funnel cloud that appears to be right behind the plane was part of a storm system spawned by what's left of Hurricane Bertha as it moves through the region.

The plane, which was headed to Spain, took off and landed safely at its destination.
Funnel clouds become tornadoes once they touch the ground;
no tornadoes have been reported as part of this weather system, CBS News reported.
Though there were no twisters reported, the storm system involved
"biblical" downpours of rain resulting in flash flooding, The Daily Mail said.
Twitter users were amazed by the photo — and glad to not be on that plane.
