Elizabeth Olsen, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's little sister, has finally confirmed that she will play the Scarlet Witch in the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" film.
Speculation had been brewing online for months, ever since the film's director, Joss Whedon, let slip that he definitely wanted to include the brother-sister superhero duo Scarlet and Quicksilver in the follow-up to last year's "Avengers" movie.
"I've got these two characters [in the first draft of my script] — my favorite characters in the comic book, a brother-sister act," Whedon told reporters at the "Iron Man 3" premiere in April. "They're in the movie, that's exciting."

Then Samuel L. Jackson, who plays S.H.I.E.L.D director Nick Fury in the film adaptations of the popular comic series, mentioned last month that Olsen had signed on to play the Scarlet Witch.
In an interview Monday with MTV News, the 24-year-old actress finally confirmed her role.
"Sam Jackson has released me from that awkwardness [of having to field questions about 'Avengers']," Olsen said. She'll be starring opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who has been chosen to play Quicksilver. The two starred together as husband and wife in the 2014 "Godzilla" reboot.
"We get to play husband and wife, and [now] we get to play twin brother and sister," Olsen said of Taylor-Johnson. "It's also fun because even though in 'Godzilla' we play husband and wife, we don't have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I'm so excited... to actually work with each other. I think it's going to be fun."
