A fan at a minor league baseball game made for a memorable moment when she caught a foul ball in her beer cup during the game and then chugged it with the ball still in the cup.
During the otherwise unremarkable game between the Clinton LumberKings and the Fort Wayne TinCaps in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Thursday, the woman, described as “attractive” by Mandatory, reached over the barrier with her cup to snag the foul ball. The man she was with held the cup up for the crowd to see, then she grabbed the cup and chugged the beer with the ball still in it.
She capped off the chugfest by holding up her arm in triumph (although she also seemed to wipe some ball debris off her mouth, too). Still, it made for what CBS Sports called a “weird variation of the party foul,” and was a memorable moment in the game, which was won by the LumberKings.
The video made the rounds of many Twitter feeds and was hailed as a respectable and laudatory thing to do.
