Ferrari's supercar, the Ferrari California T, will be one of the headliners at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show in March, according to Autoblog.com.

The California T, which can hit speeds up to 200 miles per hour and has a retractable roof, goes for $254,600. The automaker hopes the car will wow enthusiasts at the motor show in Switzerland, which is from March 6 to March 16.

Jeremy Korzeniewski, of Autoblog.com, wrote that the California T's 3.9 liter V8 engine and 560 horsepower will receive plenty of attention.

"That's 70 more horses than the last California, which, coupled with its 49-percent increase in torque, allows the new California T to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds," Korzeniewski wrote Wednesday. "Fuel mileage is improved by 15 percent, and emissions are down 20 percent. Also, for what it's worth, Ferrari promises 'the most exhilarating soundtrack any turbo has ever yielded.' Sounds pretty good to us."

The Daily Mail noted the vehicle stands out in its two starting colors of deep red and California blue.

"The Ferrari California T epitomizes elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity: characteristics that have distinguished every California model since the 1950s," a Ferrari spokesman said. "(The California T) delivers absolutely superb levels of performance, blistering pick-up and the most exhilarating soundtrack any turbo has ever yielded."

In an era where fuel conservation is of rising importance for all vehicles, including supercars, Ferrari officials told the Daily Mail that the California T has improved its fuel consumption by about 25 percent to 27 miles per gallon.

"One major challenge involved in the design of the California T was to guarantee it a typically intense, exhilarating Ferrari engine sound," Ferrari officials said. "This was achieved through meticulous design work and the use of special manufacturing techniques for essential components."

A Ferrari news release posted on Autoblog.com stated that the company spared no expense in making sure the model "delivers true sports car dynamics too, thanks to reduced steering wheel activity and improved steering response to driver input, courtesy of a new steering box and suspension set-up."
