A Florida man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Donald Trump at the president-elect's inauguration.
Dominic Puopolo, 51, who told officers that he is homeless, was charged with threatening harm against a public servant and is being held without bail, The Associated Press reported.
Puopolo was arrested while leaving a Miami Beach Subway restaurant, where he reportedly admitted to officers that he posted a video on Twitter stating he would "be at the review/inauguration and I will kill President Trump, President-elect Trump," the AP said.
Puopolo's mother was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and was eulogized by Hillary Clinton, the Miami Herald reported.
The video was posted online Monday, and officers arrested Puopolo on Tuesday after conferring with the Secret Service, the Herald noted.
Miami Herald reporter Charles Rabin described the video as "one of several videos Puopolo has posted over the past several months, most nonsensical and religion-themed."
"My other name is the Lord, Jesus Christ," Puopolo said in the video. "What are you going to do about it? I challenge you. This is not the way. I am following orders."
Miami-Dade County Judge Mindy Glazer ordered a mental evaluation for Puopolo, WPLG-TV reported.
Puopolo once donated $20,000 to the Democratic National Convention, the Daily Mail reported.
"On various social media platforms, where he posts as JesusChrist1701, the computer consultant claims to have testified in terror cases as an expert witness in a German federal court in Hamburg from 2003 to 2008," the Daily Mail reported.
The newspaper said Puopolo's mother, Sonia Mercedes Morales Puopolo, "was once a professional ballet dancer and became a major philanthropist and political donor." His sister, Sonia Tita Puopolo, wrote a book about their mother's wedding ring recovered at Ground Zero. She reportedly discussed the book — "Sonia's Ring: 11 Ways To Heal Your Heart, Miracles Do Happen" — on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
