Ford issued four safety recalls on Wednesday, adding to a previous one issued late last week, and now nearly 1 million vehicles are affected in total.

One car, the 2014 Ford Fusion, was involved in three of the safety recalls, according to press releases. The recall made on April 24 focused on door latch problems with 390,000 2012-2014 Ford Fiestas, 2013-2014 Ford Fusions, and Lincoln MKZs.

Of all the potential problems — which include unexpected stalls, loss of steering, and potential fires — Ford said it is aware of only one accident that may have been caused by the recall issues.

Wednesday’s North American safety recall covered:

• Parking lamp issues with the 22,600 2015 Lincoln MKZ vehicles.
• Potential problems with the underbody heat shield on 100 2015 Ford F-150 trucks.
• Fuel pump issues on certain 2014 Ford Focus, Edge, Escape, and Transit Connect vehicles.
• Steering gear motor attachment problems for certain 2013-15 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles, and 2015 Ford Edge vehicles.

CNN Money reported that about 1 million vehicles and trucks were impacted by the Ford recalls in the last week.

“The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration took the unusual step of issuing its own statement urging owners of these recalled cars to get them fixed as soon as possible due to the risk,” CNN Money said, regarding the door latch risk.

The recalls, particularly the numerous potential issues with the 2014 Ford Fusion, were a popular online topic:
