Two crew members who were injured in a plane crash at Fort Carson in Colorado Wednesday are recovering at a local hospital and are reportedly in good condition.

The unidentified victims were the only two passengers aboard the DA20 plane that had been dispatched for a training mission out of Pueblo, Colo., as part of the Air Force's initial flight screening program, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported.

The DA20 reportedly came into contact with a civilian contract plane before it went down on Fort Carson's Butts Army Airfield Wednesday.

The plane was part of the Air Force Academy's 306th Flying Training Group. The training program is operated by Doss Aviation as part of a 10-year, $200 million contract, according to the Gazette.

The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating the Fort Carson crash.
