Fox may revive "Last Man Standing" after the "Roseanne" reboot proved to be a resounding success, Wonderwall reported.
Tim Allen's show, which used to air on ABC, was canceled last year, sparking outrage among Republican fans who felt the decision was motivated by the actor's conservative views, which were reflected by his character in "Last Man Standing."
While the network denied the allegations, Allen stoked the fire during an appearance on "Norm Macdonald Live," when he claimed there was "nothing more dangerous" than "a funny, likable conservative," Entertainment Weekly noted.
Anonymous sources told TMZ that Fox was considering rebooting "Last Man Standing" after the "Roseanne" revival debuted to solid ratings on March 29.
Like Allen, the show's actress, Roseanne Barr, is a proud Trump supporter who harbors conservative affiliations.
The success of her show's relaunch shows that there may be an untapped market for network execs to explore.
Over the years there has been a demand for "Last Man Standing" to re-air — a call Fox has already tried to follow up on once before but, according to Country Living, things did not work out at the time.
Now fans are once again hoping to see Allen return to the small screen, with many taking to social media to express their views.
"There has been a demand for Allen to get his show back," one Twitter user posted.
"#Roseanne so what's the difference between this and #LastManStanding ? BRING BACK LAST MAN STANDING!!! #ABC," another tweeted.
Allen has previously said he is onboard for a "Last Man Standing" revival, claiming that he, "along with the talented writers, wonderful crew and terrific actors, would definitely entertain the idea of bringing the show back as there is so much gas left in the tank, more to be said, and laughs to be had," Wonderall reported.
In addition to "Last Man Standing," sources said Fox is also reportedly considering several other reboots, including "That 70's Show" and "Malcolm in the Middle."
