Hailie Scott, the 17-year-old daughter of rapper Eminem, was crowned Homecoming Queen at her Michigan high school on Friday, and her famous father was reportedly there to see her coronation.

Scott, a senior at Chippewa Valley High School in Macomb, Mich., was honored during the homecoming football game.

"Hailie came out with her mother Kim [Scott] when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn't want to cause a scene — he wanted Hailie to have her own moment," one parent, who asked not to be identified, told the Macomb Daily.

Eminem, 40, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, married his high school sweetheart Kim Scott in 1999 and got divorced in 2001. The couple remarried in 2006, but split again later on that same year. Hailie Jade is their only biological child together.

His love for his daughter Hailie has been a theme in many of Eminem's songs, and the girl's voice was even featured in the 2002 single "My Dad's Gone Crazy."

Parents at Friday's homecoming game said he was beaming.

"He opened the door and looked out like — 'That's my daughter!' He just looked like a proud father," one parent said.

Another parent described Hailie Scott as a smart, athletic, and caring girl, and said that she has been able to have a very "normal" high school experience.

"I think all of the kids in the district have shown respect to their family and just let her live a normal life here out of the spotlight. I think that speaks very highly of the Chippewa Valley community to not try to take advantage of their fame."

"The Marshall Mathers LP 2," Eminem's eighth studio album, is scheduled to drop Nov. 5.
