The search for Hannah Graham, the University of Virginia student who has been missing since Sept. 13, is continuing as police executed three search warrants Friday and described a new person of interest.

Police did not make an arrest at the apartment where they executed the search warrants, which also covered a car and a phone. Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo said the warrants were based off of the best leads yet in the search for 18-year-old Graham, WJLA-TV reported.

Authorities spoke to one witness who talked with Graham shortly before her disappearance and hope speak to another person and saw with her on video surveillance, the Charlottesville Daily Progress said.

Charlottesville police investigators said one witness spotted Graham walking in the city's open-air downtown mall early Saturday morning. Police said it appeared on surveillance video that a man was following Graham as she walked east on the mall just after 1 a.m.

Investigators said the witness recalled a second man who walked up to Graham and put his arm around her shoulder before they continued walking east. He, however, is not seen on surveillance video.

"(The witness) told police that he was following Ms. Graham as she looked to be somewhat physically distressed, and he wanted to make sure she got safely to wherever she was going," Charlottesville police spokesperson Lt. Ronnie Roberts told the Daily Progress.

Longo told The Washington Post that Graham could be seen at various times on surveillance video walking through the open-air mall but there's no trace of her after her last text message after 1:06 a.m. on Sept. 13.

"My gut tells me there's more video," Longo told the Washington Post.
