A Hans Solo spinoff "Star Wars" movie must be for real now that Disney released the first photo of the cast, including Alden Ehrenreich as the younger version of the character Harrison Ford made famous.
The photo also included cast members Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo as a youthful Chewbacca, "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke, acting veteran Woody Harrelson, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, noted Entertainment Weekly.
The photo, sent on the "Star Wars" Twitter account, has been retweeted more than 22,000 times since Tuesday and liked more than 34,000 times. Principal photography on the movie started Feb. 20 at London's Pinewood Studios, according to Fox News.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with their hands on controls of the Millennium Falcon, round out those appearing in the released photo. Someone not seen in the picture was "Westwood" star Thandie Newton, who is also part of the cast.
The untitled Hans Solo movie, set for release May 25, 2018, will be the second original "Star Wars" prequel produced by Disney. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" turned out to be a huge hit at the box office, pulling in $1.05 billion worldwide and $528 million domestically, according to Box Office Mojo.com.
"Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous," Lord and Miller said in a joint statement. "We can't think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky."
The photo appeared to meet the approval of Star Wars fans on social media.
