"The Flash" TV star Hartley Sawyer has been fired after his racist and misogynistic tweets from several years ago surfaced over the weekend.

In the posts unearthed by social media users, the actor of the popular CW superhero series makes light of domestic violence, racism, date rape, and child molestation.

In light of his actions, Sawyer will not return for Season 7 of "The Flash," said CW, producers Warner Bros. TV, and Berlanti Productions, along with executive producer Eric Wallace in a statement to Fox News on Monday.

"In regards to Mr. Sawyer's posts on social media, we do not tolerate derogatory remarks that target any race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation," the statement continued. "Such remarks are antithetical to our values and polices, which strive and evolve to promote a safe, inclusive and productive environment for our workforce."

The slew of tweets fired off by Sawyer, 35, dates back between 2012 to 2014.

In one tweet he wrote: "The only thing keeping me from doing mildly racist tweets is the knowledge that Al Sharpton would never stop complaining about me," per Fox News.

"If I had a wife I would beat the hell out of her tonight lol," another tweet read.

In a separate post, Sawyer wrote: "Dozing off on my couch like a child molester/my brother."

Sawyer also said he would "date rape myself so I don't have to masturbate."

The Hollywood star issued an apology on Instagram amid the backlash, claiming that his posts were intended to be humorous.

"I'm not here to make excuses — regardless of the intention, my words matter and they carry profound consequences," he wrote. "And mine can have and have caused pain and embarrassment, along with feelings I can only imagine, to supporters and fans, my cast mates, the crew my colleagues and friends. I owe them all an apology. And I owe each of you an apology. Thank you for holding me accountable."
