The sixth episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 7, “Death Is the Enemy,” has leaked online after it was accidentally uploaded early to HBO Nordic and HBO Espana.
A third-party vendor uploaded the episode by mistake, and it was taken down after an hour, BuzzFeed reported. HBO said the action was not related to the recent HBO hack in the U.S.
Hackers found the episode before it was taken down and posted the episode on file-sharing sites and Reddit, where it was widely viewed, The Verge reported.
The fourth episode of the season also was leaked after a distribution partner in India accidentally uploaded it three days early on Aug. 6. Indian police detained four suspects in that incident on Tuesday.
Watchers of the Wall, a “Game of Thrones” fan community, asked fans in a tweet not to share images or spoilers from the episode online.
HBO’s attempts to avoid leaks by not using advance screeners have not been successful: The first four episodes of Season 5 were leaked online by advance screeners.
Twitter users were eager to see the leaked episode and joked about it happening after the hack.
