Howard Stern has some advice for Ellen DeGeneres and that is to be more mean.
Of course, because it’s Howard Stern he used more colorful language referring to a certain part of the human anatomy. The radio personality also believes an image change could benefit his longtime friend, who has come under fire amid allegations of a toxic workplace and claims that she is nothing like the "nice" image portrayed on her talk show.
"I’d go on the air and be a son of a b----. People would come on and [I would] go, ‘[Bleep] you.' Just be a [bleep]," he said Monday on SiriusXM’s "Howard Stern Show," according to Page Six.
"So you think I’m a [bleep]? I’m going to show you exactly. … I’m known on the air as a [bleep], but off the air, I’m known as a great guy, you know, for the most part."
Stern's comments come as DeGeneres prepares to return to work for "Ellen's Game of Games," which airs on Aug.24. The talk show host has been facing mounting pressure with her show under fire and an internal investigation launched. Adding to her woes are stories that she is mean and rude.
Last week a waitress told Daily Mail that DeGeneres nearly got her suspended from her job by complaining that the waitress was wearing chipped nail polish. Days prior to the report, a former producer on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" called the talk show host out for being a "kiss a-- who only likes famous people."
Despite all the negative publicity, DeGeneres will not be quitting her job, according to an internal email from the show’s executive producers obtained by the New York Post.
"She’s fighting to protect the show and what she stands for," an insider from the show told the outlet. "She is very upset about what happened and determined to fix the problems. She takes full responsibility. But no way is she quitting the show. That’s total BS."
