Huggies Brazil is testing a new product called TweetPee, a diaper clip-on device designed to alert "busy moms and dads" via Twitter whenever their baby needs changing.
Though it may sound like some sort of April Fools' joke, a spokesperson for Kimberly-Clark Corp., which owns Huggies, confirmed that TweetPee is indeed real, though it's only in a test phase as a concept product and is not available for sale.

How exactly does it work? An owl-shaped plastic humidity sensor clips onto the child's diaper and activates the app when the baby pees. A tweet is then sent to the parents, alerting them that it’s time for a changing. The company said the app would also help parents track the volume of diapers they use, and know when it's time to reorder.
Huggies Brazil is currently testing the clip-on and accompanying app with a small group of parents, with plans to expand the focus group in July.
Though TweetPee is meant to help busy moms and dads, many parents were offended by the idea of the app.
"I'm all about saving time and things that will help me save time," Meredith Carroll, 40, a blogger for parenting site Babble, told ABC News. "But if I can't go to my diaper supply, realize I'm low and go to my computer to place an order, I have bigger problems."
Huggies Brazil said its TweetPee product is not meant to insinuate that parents are too busy on Twitter to take care of their kids.
"The clip-on humidity sensor is intended merely as a concept device to help showcase these 10 parents' experience with the app," Huggies Brazil said in a statement. "We are not suggesting parents are unable or too busy to notice when their babies' diapers need changing."
