Broadway actress Idina Menzel said she would "absolutely" reprise her role as Elsa in a Broadway stage version of the Disney animated movie "Frozen."

Menzel was at Variety's Power of Women luncheon on Friday when she said that she would be interested in taking part in the "Frozen" Broadway project that is currently in the early planning stages.

"Yes! Sure! Absolutely!" Menzel said, according to Cosmopolitan.

Fans of the successful Oscar-winning movie, which is the highest-grossing animated film ever, have only heard Menzel's voice in the role of Elsa. Menzel sings the movie's signature song "Let It Go," which captured the Academy Award for best movie song and has been a mainstay on the Billboard singles chart.

While Menzel would likely have to go blonde for the role of Elsa, she seems to be the ideal candidate for what would be a highly anticipated show. Menzel won a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba in the musical "Wicked."

Menzel is currently starring on Broadway in the musical "If/Then."

"If Menzel — or Adele Dazeem, as John Travolta famously called her on Oscar night — isn't getting a cut of the gross, then she needs to renegotiate her contract," New York Daily News' Joe Dziemianowicz wrote in his review of "If/Then." "She deepens this superficial show. A decade since she won a Tony for playing the green witch in 'Wicked,' the soulful Menzel is still defying gravity — and lending some when needed."

Menzel's "Frozen" co-star Kristen Bell told Entertainment Weekly in March that she would be up for playing her character Anna in a stage version of the film.

"I certainly hope that they try!" Bell said of the possibility of "Frozen" on stage. "Everybody in 'Frozen' is a Broadway veteran so I certainly hope they try and wrangle us."

"Frozen" has taken in a whopping $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide, and the movie's soundtrack has ranked No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the past 21 weeks. There has been a shortage of merchandise associated with the film months after its release.
