A Wisconsin infant was found alive after being kidnapped from his bassinet in the middle of the night Thursday. The 6-day-old infant was discovered in a tote bag at an Iowa gas station Friday morning.
Brianna Marshall, mother of newborn Kayden Powell, called police in Beloit, Wis., at 4:15 a.m. Thursday to
report him missing from his crib, CBS 58 reported.

He was found a little more than 24 hours later wrapped in blankets near West Branch, Iowa, and emergency personnel said he seems to be in good health, CBS 58 said.
Marshall’s half-sister Kristen Smith was arrested in Iowa on an unrelated warrant. CBS 58 said police didn’t say whether she was a suspect in the infant’s kidnapping. She was questioned about taking the baby, and
NBC Chicago said she is in custody as a “person of interest.”
Multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the investigation. West Branch Police Chief Mike Horihan was the one who found the baby when he heard the child’s cries while checking the interstate areas, NBC Chicago said.
“We never stopped worrying. We never stopped giving up hope. And it's cases like this, it's days like today that [are the reason] most of us do what we do,” G.B. Jones, from Milwaukee’s FBI office, told NBC Chicago.
