Jaclyn Smith is still mourning the loss of her good friend and fellow
"Charlie's Angels" co-star Farrah Fawcett, more than four years after the actress died of cancer.
Smith was in a Los Angeles courthouse Monday to
testify in a case pitting Fawcett’s longtime boyfriend Ryan O’Neal against the University of Texas, which wants an Andy Warhol painting of the late actress that hangs over O’Neal’s bed.

Smith burst into tears while hugging O’Neal and Fawcett’s son, Redmond, outside of court. Asked why she was crying, she
told the New York Post that it was “seeing Redmond, and I miss Farrah.”
Fawcett bequeathed all of her artwork to the University of Texas, and the school wants to hang the piece in its Blanton Museum of Art. O’Neal testified Warhol was a friend who gave one portrait to the actress, but gave the painting in question to him. The one belonging to Fawcett already is in the hands of the university.
Fawcett studied at the University of Texas before moving to Hollywood to make her millions as a model and actress. The Warhol painting may be worth millions of dollars.
Smith lauded the Warhol piece.
“It’s her soul, it’s her eyes, it’s her hair, it’s everything she is,”
she told The Los Angeles Times. "I always describe Farrah as this 8-by-10 glossy, you know, the combination of this beautiful girl and the girl next door and that portrait captures that."
Smith said the Warhol painting belongs to O’Neal.
“I think the most important thing would be imagining what Farrah would want,” she said. “I really feel Farrah would want that portrait with Ryan.”

O’Neal, his son, Smith, and actress Alana Stewart testified in the trial. The case has been sent to the jury for deliberations.
During the break on Monday, Smith said O’Neal was the love of Fawcett’s life. She also told Redmond, 28, “Your mom raised you right.”
