Jennifer Aniston 'Friends' Reunion Now Just a Matter of Time

Jennifer Aniston is the lone holdout for a 'Friends' reunion in 2014, according to sources close to the matter, but everyone thinks the project is now just a matter of time.

"Since the show ended in 2004 it's been rare for all six of them to appear in public together. But with next year's 20th anniversary [of the show's launch] it will be unavoidable for them to do something together," a source revealed to the celebrity publication OK! Magazine. "It's the perfect excuse to talk seriously about a new project."

Since the show concluded, the now 44-year-old Aniston went on to a successful Hollywood career, starring in numerous feature films.

"It's no secret the whole project will be pinned on Jennifer, who's incredibly busy with her movie career," the source added. "But she's been slowly convinced that a reunion could be a good thing."

Britain's Mirror reported that the show's producers are keen for a "Friend's" reunion next year, reuniting Aniston with her fellow cast members Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

According to the source, Cox, who played the "Friends" character Monica Geller and currently stars on the TBS show "Cougar Town," has been quietly convincing Aniston to take part in the reunion.

"Courtney has been telling Jennifer that she and Matthew Perry have still got that amazing chemistry after shooting just a few scenes with him guest starring on her TV show 'Cougar Town,'" the source told OK! Magazine. "It was as though no time has passed at all."

It is unclear whether the much anticipated reunion, if it should come to fruition, will be in the form of a special episode on NBC or a movie project, Britain's Daily Mail noted.
