Jennifer Lawrence's increased role as shape-shifting Mystique in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" could lead to her own spinoff movie.
"I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her, and I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there's so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo,"
"X-Men: First Class" writer-producer Simon Kinberg told Entertainment Weekly.

Lawrence, 23, has seen her star continue to rise since starring in "The Hunger Games" and winning the Academy Award for Best Actress in "Silver Linings Playbook" in 2013. She was also nominated in 2014 for "American Hustle."
Rebecca Romijn played the older version of the naked blue mutant in previous "X-Men" installments.
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner also told EW that there could be other characters to get their own standalone films.
"There was a regime (at the studio) that didn't see the worth in (spinoffs), and the current people who run Fox understand, embrace it and we're going to do right by it," Donner said. "I'd like to do Gambit. I'd like to do Deadpool. We'll see. There are a lot of really great characters."
In the meantime, Lawrence is filming "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," and will end her "Hunger Games" run when the fourth movie opens Nov. 20, 2015. The third, "Mockingjay - Part 1" is due out in November this year.
She's also working with Bradley Cooper again, this time on "Serena," which is due to be released this year.
Lawrence was also featured this week on the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, when she served as one of 11 bridesmaids at her brother Blaine Lawrence's wedding.
Wolverine, the X-Men mutant played by Hugh Jackman, has done extremely well as a standalone film. James Mangold's "The Wolverine" grossed $415 million worldwide last year, and a sequel is scheduled to be released March 3, 2017.
