'Jeopardy' Contestant Confidently Flubs Question With Hilarious Answer

A hilarious "Jeopardy" flub went viral Monday night after a contestant buzzed in confidently, then appeared to go blank before giving a wrong answer.

Kevin buzzed in on competitor Jamie’s question, a $200 choice for the “3 + 3” category, which means the answer is two words that each have three letters.

The answer to which he needed to provide the question was “a hired killer.” Kevin appeared stumped, then blurted out “hot gun” before the buzzer sounded. His response wasn’t even in the form of a question, as is required on the show.

“No,” Trebek replied.

“No?” Kevin responded, seeming surprised to be wrong, then mumbles, “Uh, what is it?”

Jamie then buzzed in and gave the correct answer, “What is a hit man?”

The interchange went viral after Twitter user Davis posted a clip, which has been liked more than 6,000 times and retweeted 2,600 times.

Davis also got lots of replies, and he later explained why he classified the response as a favorite.

A later screen shot shows Kevin flubbing the final Jeopardy answer too, writing, “What Clemson” instead of phrasing it as a sentence.

A Twitter user even changed his (or her) Twitter name to “Hot Gun Fan Account” after viewing the clip.

Now that’s dedication.
