Jesse Eisenberg Cast as Lex Luthor for 'Batman Vs. Superman' Film

Continuing its controversial casting streak, Warner Bros. has revealed Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" film.

It was also announced that Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons has been cast as Alfred, Bruce Wayne's loyal butler. There was outrage last year when it was announced Ben Affleck was chosen to be the new Batman.

Eisenberg is perhaps best known for his role as Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network."

The Internet was all over the news Friday, with a few loving the pick but most hating it. The casting seemed to catch most people off guard as many can't seem to reconcile Luthor with Eisenberg's youthful look.
