Jon Gosselin's latest career move as a DJ may just be the thing he needs to get beyond his "Jon & Kate Plus 8" reality show days and help pay a few bills.

Gosselin will be the headlining DJ at Harrah's Pool After Dark on May 30, according to the Atlantic City casino's website. The "Epic Saturdays with Jon Gosselin" set will also feature two other DJs. Celebrity website TMZ said the booking was a nice promotion from spinning records at a New Jersey bowling alley.

"According to our club sources, Jon's spinning his way up the ladder fast," noted TMZ. "He's moved on from Brewster's Bar and Grill to drop the beats at the posh Pool After Dark club in Harrah's Casino. And he won't have to spend five hours round pins and funky shoes ... he'll only spin for an hour before spending another hour or so meeting his loyal fans."

TMZ said Gosselin will get $20,000 for spinning records and then meeting fans.

Gosselin, 38, told People magazine he credited friend Kirk Lydon, known as by his DJ name Koolie Kirk, for getting him starting in the businesses and offering him his first break.

"I'm really excited about all of this," said Gosselin. "When you have a business plan and it doesn't work, you're like, 'Oh well.' When you have one that does work you're like, 'Holy cow. It's too good to be true.'"

Gosselin told People that Lydon showed him the ropes of the business and added that his pal will open for him at Harrah's.

"The fact that I work with an amazing tour DJ allows me to do the things I need to do at an appearance as a reality star," Gosselin told People. "That's the hour I can go to interact with the people who paid to come see me. That's what I like to do. I like to meet people. All the fans that watched my show when they were 16 years old are now 21, and now they're in clubs and now they can interact and talk with me."
