Justin Bieber wishes he had waited until marriage before having sex because he could have avoided experiencing the "bad hurt" of his past. The 26-year-old "Yummy" hit-maker opened up about his regrets during the latest episode of his and wife Hailey Baldwin's Facebook Watch series "The Biebers on Watch."
During the video clip, a fan asked the couple if they would change anything about their pasts.
"If I could go back and not have to face some of the bad hurt that I went through, I probably would’ve saved myself for marriage," Bieber replied. "I know that sounds crazy," he added. "Sex can be kind of confusing when you’re being sexually active with anybody."
Baldwin admitted she did not share her husband's regrets but could understand his point.
"I don’t know if I’d say the same, but we had different experiences with everything," she said. "I do agree with the fact that being physical with someone can make things more confusing."
The couple secretly tied the knot in 2018, two months after their July engagement, in a courthouse ceremony. In September 2019 they officially celebrated their marriage in front of friends and family, according to People.
Prior to that, Bieber notoriously dated Selena Gomez, who reportedly wrote her 2019 hit single "Lose You To Love Me" about their tumultuous relationship and breakup. Gomez opened up about the track earlier this year with Interview magazine.
"When I wrote the song, I was basically saying that I needed to hit rock bottom to understand that there was this huge veil over my face," she said.
"I wanted to make sure, especially on this album, that each song meant something to me, that it represented a story that actually happened to me or one that I’m still walking through," Gomez added of her latest album.
