Justin Bieber has set the record straight after unfollowing his wife, Hailey Bieber, on Instagram.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that the singer was no longer a follower of Hailey on the social media platform earlier this week, fueling divorce rumors. However, in a statement shared on his Instagram Stories and cited by E! News, Justin Bieber claimed he was hacked.

"Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife," he wrote in a since-deleted post on Tuesday, according to the outlet. "[Expletive] is getting suss out here."

The couple have been under scrutiny for years. In an interview published in July, Hailey Bieber pushed back against speculation that their relationship was strained, telling W Magazine they were going strong.

"People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one," she said. " 'Oh, they're falling apart. They hate each other. They're getting divorced.' It's like people don't want to believe that we're happy."

The media frenzy is something that Bieber — who tied the knot with Justin in September 2018, has grappled with.

"I used to try to act like it hurts less and less," she continued. "I've tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what's going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn't actually ever hurt any less."

In August, the couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues. Hailey Bieber managed to keep her pregnancy a secret until it was undeniable. She revealed that they were expecting in a maternity shoot with W Magazine.

"I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time," she told the outlet. "I didn't have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff. I probably could have hid it until the end. But I didn't enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn't feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.
