Rapper Kanye West is being investigated by Beverly Hills police Monday for battery after he allegedly punched a teenager who used a racial slur directed at his fiancé Kim Kardashian.
Beverly Hills police reported that the incident occurred about 12:15 p.m. in the 8800 block of Wilshire Boulevard,
according to the Los Angeles Times.

"The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses," police said in a statement.
Police told E! News that the case is being investigated as a misdemeanor battery charge.
"Kim and Kanye were meeting for an appointment today," a source said of the incident. "Kim arrived later than Kanye. En route into the building, Kim saw a young man yelling racial slurs at the paparazzi. Kim told him he shouldn't use racial slurs and he turned on her and verbally assaulted her."
The man, described as an 18-year-old white male, allegedly called
Kardashian, 33, an "N— lover," another source told Us Weekly.
West came out to confront the man, allegedly following him into a chiropractor's office. West reportedly punched the man in the arm. Police were then called.
"Kanye called her phone and she answered and the man continued yelling at her," the E! News source said. "Kanye overheard and came running down. He confronted the guy."
In November, West entered a not guilty plea for two misdemeanor charges for allegedly assaulting a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport in July.
Photographer Daniel Ramos claimed that West punched him at the airport for no reason and wrestled his camera to the ground, according to the Los Angeles Times. Each count carried up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine. The rapper will appear in court on those charges on Jan. 23.
