A Los Angeles teenager is trying the viral video route to get his prom invitation to model Kate Upton heard.
Jake Davidson, a senior at a Los Angeles-area high school, made a funny, quirky, and adorable YouTube video inviting Upton to his prom. The clip (below) already has more than 20,000 views since it went up Saturday, and is attracting a strong Twitter following.
In the video, Davidson appears in a series of scenes. First, he's lounging by the pool reading the Sports Illustrated issue with Upton on the cover. Then, he's lathering up to shave, while ticking off the reasons Upton should consider his offer.

"You had me at hello," he says. "You're the ying to my yang. I'm Jewish, 5-foot-9 on a really good day, and I can't dance at all. You're Christian, 5-foot-10, and that Cat Daddy video should have won an Oscar for Best Short Film. You could say this is destiny."
Davidson does some pushups to try and impress Upton, before giving a very Ferris Bueller-esque monologue in the shower:
"Kate. Can I call u Katie? OK, Kate works. I'm going to be real with you here. I don't have a girlfriend and with prom season rolling around this would be problematic for some, but I'm me, I'm Optimus Prime, I see the glass half full," he says. "Great moments are born from great opportunity, and that's what you have here today a chance to make a nice guy's senior year, the best ever. We can ride around all night long — until 11, that's my curfew. But really, it would mean the world to me if you came."

Davidson ends the video on bended knee with a dozen roses for a last attempt.
"Kate, will you go to prom with me?"
No response yet from Upton, but it wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity accompanied someone to a special event. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis have both accepted invitations to the Marine Corps Ball in the past based off YouTube propositions.
