Stars Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder have just wrapped production on "Destination Wedding," a romantic comedy written and directed by Victor Levin.
The movie stars Reeves and Ryder as miserable wedding guests who fall for each other over the weekend of a wedding, Variety reported. The two actors previously shared the screen in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” and Richard Linklater’s “A Scanner Darkly.”
“When comedy is seated in character and truth it’s both funny and moving, and on that basis Vic’s screenplay is one of the best I’ve read in a long time,” producer Robert Jones said, Variety reported. “Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves are wonderfully skillful actors and their chemistry on-screen truly brings these irascible characters to life.”
The film is being financed by The Fyzz Facility with Sunshine Pictures, Two Camel Films, and Elevated Films helping to produce it, Variety reported.
Reeves recently starred in “John Wick: Chapter 2” and Netflix’s “To the Bone,” and Ryder stars in the upcoming second season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” which drops on Oct. 27.
