Kelly Osbourne Infuriated by Rancic Dreadlocks Comments, Might Even Quit 'Fashion Police'

Kelly Osbourne is so furious over dreadlock comments made by her "Fashion Police" co-host host Giuliana Rancic about Disney star Zendaya Coleman that she may leave the show.

The controversy erupted during the E! fashion critique show during its Oscar's edition. A video clip of Coleman, who stars in the Disney show "K.C. Undercover," was shown at the Academy Awards with dreadlocks. Rancic commented that the teen  "probably smelled 'like patchouli oil' or 'weed' because of her hairstyle," according to the New York Post.

Coleman fired back that evening on Twitter and Instagram, wondering why Rancic would single out a common African-American hairstyle for ridicule, calling the comments "disrespectful" and "offensive."

Osbourne didn't object to Rancic's comments during the show but she posted two messages on Twitter the next day.

Rancic issued an apology on Tuesday, admitting that she felt her comments did cross the line but they were not meant to her feelings, according to Us Weekly.

"I'd really like to address something that’s weighing very heavy on my heart," Rancic said in the apology. "I want to apologize for a comment that I made on last night's 'Fashion Police' about Zendaya's hair.

"Something I said last night did cross the line. I didn't intend to hurt anybody, but I've learned it's not my intent that matters, it's the result," Rancic added. "This really has been a learning experience for me, I've learned a lot today. And this incident has taught me to be a lot more aware of clichés and stereotypes, how much damage they can do. And that I am responsible, as we all are, to not perpetuate them further."
