Kidd Cole, a wannabe hip-hop artist who duped a woman on an episode of MTV's "Catfish," was arrested Wednesday for making terroristic threats against Washington, D.C.’s transit system.

Jerez Nehemiah Stone-Coleman was picked up by Metro Transit Police after threatening the Metro stations, buses, and trains, according to USA Today.

Stone-Coleman is accused of making 11 bomb threats or hostage situation calls between Dec. 12 and May 12. In each incident, emergency crews responded and at times even closed Metro stations and evacuated buses only to find out later that the calls were false.

Phone calls included threats to the president’s motorcade, a request for ransom, and plans to bomb the White House and metro stations, according to USA Today.

One of the prank calls led to a bus evacuation in which a person matching the description given in the fake call was detained, frisked, and questioned.

“The threat information provided in each of the 911 calls turned out to be ‘wholly false,’” a police statement said, according to The Sun Daily.

Transit police told USA Today that detectives used cellphone records, digital video surveillance in stations and buses, and telephone audio to identify Stone-Coleman.

“We have no greater responsibility than protecting Metro's customers and employees,” Metro Transit Police Chief Ron Pavlik said in a statement, according to USA Today. “This case demonstrates the seriousness with which we take all threats and the lengths to which we will go to bring those responsible to justice.”

Stone-Coleman was featured on a May 2014 episode of “Catfish,” a reality show that helps people track down the person they are in an online relationship with but have never met in person. On Stone-Coleman's episode, he posed as an up-and-coming music producer and fooled a woman into working for him.

WUSA9 senior web producer Meta Pettus tweeted that MTV has removed the episode featuring Stone-Coleman from its website.
